No dia 30 de dezembro, a Netflix divulgou o ranking das séries e filmes mais vistos na plataforma em vários países, incluindo o Brasil. A grande surpresa ficou para o desempenho da recém lançada The Witcher, que, apesar de ter estreado nos últimos dias do ano, foi o segundo lançamento mais vista nos EUA e o quarto no Brasil.
Aqui ela ficou atrás apenas de La Casa de Papel: Parte 3 e dos filmes Mistério no Mediterrâneo e Esquadrão 6. Nos Estados Unidos a primeira colocação foi de Stranger Things, contudo, surpreendentemente, na grande maioria dos outros países The Witcher ficou em primeiro lugar ou à frente da série dos Irmãos Duffer.
E esse feito de The Witcher fica ainda mais impressionante quando se lembra que, em julho, a Netflix divulgou que Stranger Things 3 quebrara o recorde de visualizações da plataforma de streaming,
